Jackery vs EcoFlow vs Anker splits cleanly once you stop reading the spec columns side by side. EcoFlow builds the best inverters, measured: the Delta Pro 3 returns 93% of its rated energy at the AC outlet, the best figure in the tested field. Jackery rates cycle life to a harder endpoint than either rival, so its 4,000 cycles is a longer promise than anyone else’s 4,000. Anker recharges faster than both and gives you more watts per pound, and it is also the only one of the three that shipped a new generation with less capacity than the old one. All three are worth buying. Not for the same person.
The short version
- Buy Jackery for weight and longevity. Lightest units in each class, and cycle ratings measured to 70% of original capacity rather than the 80% its rivals use.
- Buy EcoFlow for the inverter and the ports. Best measured usable capacity, sub-10 ms switchover, 140 W USB-C, and the broadest expansion story.
- Buy Anker for charge speed and output density. 49 minutes to full on the C1000 Gen 2, 2,000 W from a 1 kWh box, and the F3800 has outlets nothing else in its class matches.
- Cross-brand cycle comparison is invalid as published. Jackery measures to 70%, EcoFlow and Anker to 80%. Anker’s F3800 states no endpoint at all.
- Anker’s C1000 lost capacity between generations, 1,056 Wh to 1,024 Wh. Output and charge speed went up, capacity went down, and almost nobody mentions it.
- Jackery ships the Explorer 1000 v2 at two different capacities under one name. 1,070 Wh and 1,050 Wh, different ASINs, same model on the box.
- EcoFlow’s Delta 3 Plus solar input spec is genuinely ambiguous. “11V-60V 500W Max*2” could mean 500 W total or 1,000 W, and EcoFlow does not clarify it.
Why you cannot compare their cycle ratings
Start here, because it invalidates most of what you will read elsewhere. A cycle rating is only meaningful with the capacity endpoint attached, and these three brands do not use the same one.
Jackery rates the Explorer 1000 v2, the Explorer 2000 Plus and the HomePower 3000 at 4,000 cycles to 70% of original capacity. EcoFlow rates the Delta 3 Plus and Delta Pro 3 at 4,000 cycles to 80%, the Delta 2 and River 3 Plus at 3,000 to 80%, the Delta Pro Ultra at 3,500 to 80%. Anker rates the C1000 Gen 2 at 4,000 to 80%. Cell degradation is roughly monotonic, so a pack reaching 70% has been cycled substantially harder than one reaching 80%. Jackery’s 4,000 is the harder number.
That is not a claim that Jackery cells are better. It is a claim that the published figures are not on the same axis, and every comparison table that stacks them in one column is wrong by construction. Normalise before you compare, or do not compare.
Anker is the worst offender on disclosure. The F3800, its flagship, is rated at “3000+ cycles” with no capacity endpoint anywhere on the product page. That is not a specification, it is a number with a plus sign, and for a unit meant to sit in a house for a decade it is the least defensible thing any of these three brands does.
Measured capacity: EcoFlow wins this one outright
Rated watt-hours are nameplate. What reaches the outlet is the number that matters, and independent bench testing is the only place to get it.
EcoFlow’s Delta Pro 3 delivered 3,790 Wh from a 4,096 Wh rating, 93%, comfortably the best result in the field. Jackery’s Explorer 2000 Plus and 2000 v2 came in at 85% and 84%. Anker’s C1000 delivered 860 Wh from 1,056 Wh, 81%, near the bottom of the full-size units tested. Anker’s little 521 did worse still at 75%.
Some of that spread is physics rather than engineering. Big packs carry inverter overhead better than small ones, and the Delta Pro 3 is four times the size of the C1000. But EcoFlow’s older Delta Pro also measured 82% against Jackery’s mid-size units at 84 to 85%, so the ranking is not purely a size effect either. The honest reading: on a like-for-like basis Jackery and EcoFlow trade places around the mid-80s, and Anker’s C1000 loses this axis.
Practical consequence: plan an outage around 1,000 Wh and a C1000 gives you roughly 860. Budget 80 to 85% of the label and you will not be surprised.
The SKU traps, one per brand
Each of these three has a listing problem that will cost somebody money, and they are different problems.
Jackery: two capacities, one model name. The Explorer 1000 v2 is specified at 1,070 Wh on Jackery’s own page, from 30.4 Ah at 35.2 V nominal. A separate live Amazon listing sells an Explorer 1000 v2 rated at 1,050 Wh under a separate ASIN, which has since gone dead. Same model name, 20 Wh apart. Twenty watt-hours is not much, but a manufacturer shipping two capacities under one name means you cannot know what arrived without opening the app. Check the capacity line on the listing you are actually buying.
Anker: the C1000 got smaller. The Gen 1 C1000 is 1,056 Wh with six AC outlets. The Gen 2 is 1,024 Wh with two. Continuous output went up, 1,800 W to 2,000 W, and full recharge dropped from 58 minutes to 49. So it is faster and stronger and holds 3% less energy with a third of the sockets. That may well be the right trade for you. It is not the trade the word “Gen 2” implies, and almost nothing written about the Gen 2 mentions it.
EcoFlow: a solar input spec that cannot be parsed. EcoFlow’s own Delta 3 Plus page reads “2 ports, DC Charge Input, 11V-60V 500W Max*2.” Two ports sharing 500 W, or two ports at 500 W each? Both readings are defensible from the text. If you are buying panels to match, that is the difference between one array and two, and the ambiguity runs across the whole Delta 3 family. Most affiliate sites pick whichever number they like. We will not publish either without a support-ticket confirmation.

Which brand for which buyer
Jackery: camping, van life, anyone carrying the thing
The Explorer 1000 v2 is 23.8 lb against 27.6 for the Delta 3 Plus, and it recharges fully in 1.58 hours. In a class converging on the same LiFePO4 cells, weight is a real differentiator and Jackery has held it for years.
The 70% cycle endpoint is the other reason, and it is underrated. Cycle a unit hard for a decade and a rating measured to 70% describes more of that decade than one measured to 80%.
Where Jackery loses: 400 W of solar input on the 1000 v2 against 600 W on Anker’s C1000, no expansion on most of the range, and a HomePower line named for home backup with no 240 V output at all.
EcoFlow: outage backup, home integration, anyone plugging in a computer
Best measured energy return in the field, sub-10 ms switchover, 140 W USB-C on the Delta 3 Plus, and expansion packs that cross-fit the Delta 2, Delta 3 and Delta Pro 3 families. If you are building a system rather than buying a box, this is the ecosystem with the most doors.
The Delta Pro 3 is the unit to beat above 4 kWh: true 120/240 V, 8,000 W surge, IP65, 2,600 W of solar across two independent trackers, expandable to 48 kWh.
Where EcoFlow loses: the ambiguous solar input copy, an X-Boost figure that invites people to run motor loads it cannot safely serve, and a CPSC recall on the Delta Max 2000 in October 2025 after six fires. Current hardware is excellent. The listing copy is not.
Anker: fast turnaround, and 240 V backup on a budget of space
Nothing in the 1 kWh class recharges like a C1000 Gen 2. Forty-nine minutes to full, 2,000 W continuous from a 24.9 lb box, 20 dB running. For someone cycling a unit between a generator, a car and a wall socket, that turnaround beats 30 Wh of capacity.
The F3800 is the outlet story: NEMA 14-50 and L14-30 on a 3,840 Wh unit, 6,000 W continuous, expandable to 53.8 kWh. It drives a genuine Level 2 EVSE, which almost nothing else this size does.
Where Anker loses: the C1000 measured 81% usable, weakest of the three brands’ full-size units; Gen 2 dropped capacity and four AC outlets; the F3800 publishes no cycle endpoint, no noise figure and no temperature range. Good hardware, the thinnest documentation here.

What to actually buy
For a first 1 kWh unit that lives in a closet and comes out for outages and camping, the EcoFlow is the one I would pick, on ports and switchover rather than capacity. The three are within 50 Wh of each other, which is not a decision.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus
1,024 Wh, 1,800 W continuous, 13 ports including two 140 W USB-C, under 10 ms switchover, expandable to 5 kWh on packs shared with the Delta 2 line. The unresolved question is solar input, where EcoFlow’s copy reads “11V-60V 500W Max*2”. A non-Plus Delta 3 is also listed on Amazon with 100 W USB-C instead of 140 W.

If you carry the unit any distance, buy the Jackery instead and accept the lower solar ceiling. The Explorer 1000 v2 bare unit on Amazon is the lightest of the three, and Amazon also lists it bundled with a 200 W SolarSaga panel, the only one of these bundles whose panel datasheet is fully published, temperature coefficients included.
Anker’s case is narrower but real. The C1000 Gen 1 listing on Amazon still carries the larger 1,056 Wh pack and six AC outlets, the better buy of the two generations if you find it. For 240 V backup, the F3800 with a 400 W panel and the F3800 Plus are both on Amazon, and the Plus raises solar input to 3,200 W.
